Marine Installer One

About Wooldridge Boats:

Wooldridge Boats builds premium aluminum boats from the ground up – starting with raw metal fabrication and finishing with fully rigged, water-ready vessels. Our process blends precision welding, detailed rigging, and hands-on craftsmanship to produce boats trusted in some of the harshest environments.

About the Position:

The Marine Installer 1 is an entry-level, hands-on role at the core of our build process. This position bridges fabrication and final rigging, taking raw welded hulls and preparing them for paint, installation, and final assembly.

This is a training-focused role and a common starting point for many of our long-term team members. You’ll gain exposure to multiple areas of boat building and have opportunities to grow into electrical, rigging, welding, or fabrication roles.

What You’ll Do:

● Review and prep boats after fabrication and before paint/rigging
● Install fuel systems, flooring, traction materials, vinyl, and decals
● Assist with trailer adjustments and boat loading
● Perform details cleanup and finishing work to ensure build quality
● Support production flow across departments as needed

● Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
● Positive attitude and willingness to learn
● Ability to safely use basic power tools
● Team-oriented with solid communication skills
● Reliable and consistent work ethic
● Ability to meet physical job requirements

● Ability to adapt quickly and solve problems efficiently
● Interest in marine, fabrication, or technical trades

Why Wooldridge:

● Work on high-quality, purpose-built boats – not assembly-line products

Marine Installer II (Rigging Technician)

About Wooldridge Boats:
Wooldridge Boats builds premium aluminum boats from the ground up—starting with raw metal fabrication and finishing with fully rigged, water-ready vessels. Our process combines precision welding, detailed rigging, and hands-on craftsmanship to produce boats trusted in demanding environments.

About the Position:
The Marine Installer II is a skilled position focused on rigging and systems integration. This role is responsible for taking fabricated bare hulls and turning them into fully functional, water-ready boats through the installation and setup of electrical, mechanical, and propulsion systems.

This is not an entry-level role—you should be able to step in and immediately contribute to production with minimal supervision. You’ll play a key role in maintaining build quality, troubleshooting issues, and helping move boats efficiently through the rigging process.

What You’ll Do:

● Install and route complete marine wiring harnesses and electrical systems
● Rig outboard motors, controls, steering systems, and accessories
● Install and configure pumps, lighting, electronics, and onboard systems
● Read and interpret work orders, diagrams, and rigging layouts
● Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues during installation
● Perform system testing and ensure all components meet quality standards
● Collaborate with fabrication and finishing teams to maintain production flow

What We’re Looking For:

● Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
● Proven experience in marine rigging, automotive, or similar technical field
● Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical instructions
● High attention to detail with a focus on clean, organized installs
● Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
● Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred:

● Marine industry experience (rigging, service, or manufacturing)
● Experience with outboard engines and control systems (Yamaha, Mercury, etc.)
● Familiarity with 12V/24V electrical systems and troubleshooting
● Experience with marine electronics (GPS, sonar, switching systems)
● ABYC standards knowledge or similar best practices

Why Wooldridge:

● Work on premium, purpose-built boats – not production-line assembly
● Opportunity to take ownership of builds and see projects through completion
● Growth into advanced rigging, electrical specialization, or leadership roles
● Tight-knit, skilled team environment

Benefits:
● Seven Paid Holidays
