Matt Wilken and Sons on the Upper Chena River

After a Memorial Day weekend full of baseball, the boys and I decided to take advantage of a beautiful 85 degree Fairbanks day and head up the Upper Chena to do some Grayling fishing. The Upper Chena was low and clear and made for some fun shallow water river running. The fishing was good, the weather was great and the company even better. We were in such a rush to get out of town after the last baseball game that Evan wasn't able to take a shower, well he opted for the next best thing, a cannonball into the 50 degree Chena river!- Mike W.

Evan Feeling quite refreshed after his cold water dip in the Chena River.
