Late last week we fished a few days in Eastern Wa. before the temperatures dropped, in search of Walleye.
Well, things turned out alright as we found both Sunshine and Fish!
For those of you who have not tried fishing for Walleye,
its a great experience, and soon we will focusing on a mix bag
of Walleye and Bass as the water temps continue to rise.
But after a few day East of the mountains and a weather change, we made the
road trip back down to the Cowlitz for some more of this years fantastic run of hatchery fish!
While the sunshine did not come out to play, the fish sure did!
And with Steelhead and Springer's still going strong in the Cow, we will keep make the road trip there too!
On the near Horizon, we are looking forward to the Snohomish system opening back up. Not only are we going to get a Springer season on the Skykomish this year, it will be open from the mouth, to the Wallace. This will open up a large portion of the river that we have not been able to fish in the past, and this stretch has always held some great King water.
