Our Friends Pius, Sharon and Tyler from California know how to fish!
Their latest report says that Chinook Salmon fishing is already starting out with limits for anglers.
Here's the letter sent to us:
"The first Salmon to be landed on our Wooldridge 24' Pilothouse was brought in by our grandson Tyler. It taped out at 33" and girth was about 20". We went on to have fabulous fishing on the opening day of salmon fishing in Monterey Bay. We caught our limit of 6 salmon that weighed from around 14 to 25lbs. These were the biggest fish we have ever seen this early in the season!
This year promises to be one possibly for the record books if these fish continue to grow as expected. 30, 40, and ever 50+ pound kings are going to be caught offshore before the fall river run." Pius
It's time to renew that expired fishing license, put some gas in the boat and sharpen some hooks!
