Eli Rico of Hotshot Guide Service (http://www.hotshotguide.com/) stopped by the Wooldridge factory to check out the progress on
his new 23' Super Sport Drifter, Open Tiller model.
Eli still guides in the northwest, but also spends a lot of time guiding down in Florida. (http://tampabayfishingguide.net/)
He said, "Right now during winter in Florida, the bait is very small and the water temperature is a cold 67°. (Cold? LOL!)
Fishing is best when water temperatures reach around 75°."
23' Super Sport Drifter, Open Tiller Model.
Sitting on top of three locking transom storage doors and ready to use his 150hp E-Tec w/ Jet Pump & 4-blade stainless steel impeller.
Eli's words: "Looks like fresh fish for dinner for Mr. M and son P.J. It started a little slow with the cooler water temps, but as the day went on, the fish started chasing some bait and the rods were getting bent!
Trout, Bluefish and Mackerel for the sampler plate from Tampa Bay. Nice job guys...FISH ON!"
Plenty of side tray and under-floor storage w/ lots of room to walk around the boat.
The broad gunnels with traction tape are nice when wearing flip-flop style sandals in warm weather.
Thanks for checking out this week's Out & About.
